1. About You

Incorrect Photo Format

Your photo will be used to identify you on your ID cards for the weekend, please make this a true representation.

The first three photos above are examples of photo's we will not accept.

We know it's hilarious to dress up as a banana but we need to be able to see your face properly.

We won't accept group shots or photos with any other person in them, no matter how much you love them.

Your photo needs to be recent and not of you as a child, even if you were cuter then.

Please make your photo a clear headshot in JPG format no larger than 2MB in size (As a guide anything taken from Facebook should be the right size!)

The last photo is a great example of the kind of photo we will accept!

It is optional to enter a secondary address, but if you live in 2 parts of the country due to university, or for whatever reason, it will help us send you the right type of job advertisements.

7. Manual handling & safe handling

This section contains some basic rules for manual handling & safe lifting that if followed, will protect you from injury or harm. Every year, the most common industrial injuries are caused by incorrect lifting. Follow the rules and remember: whatever the deadline,
put your own safety first!

Follow these simple rules:

1. Never lift more that you can manage. If you are struggling, stop immediately and seek assistance!

2. Check for nails, splinters or sharp objects

3. Keep your back straight & your feet apart, look straight ahead & bend your knees

Good handling techniques:

1. Stop & think. Plan the lift. Where is the load to be placed? Use appropriate handling aids if possible, seek assistance if necessary.

2. Position the feet. Keep your feet apart, giving a balanced & stable base for lifting. Your leading leg should be as far forward as is comfortable and, if possible, pointing in the direction you intend to go.

3. Adopt a good posture. When lifting from a low level, bend the knees. Do not kneel or over-flex the knees and keep the back straight, maintaining its natural curve. Lean forward a little over the load if necessary to get a good grip. Keep the shoulders level and facing in the same direction as the hips.

4. Get a firm grip.Try to keep the arms within the boundary formed by the legs. The best position and type of grip depends on the circumstances and individual preference; but it must be secure. A hook grip is less tiring than keeping the fingers straight. If you need to vary the grip as the lift proceeds, do it as smoothly as possible.

Remember the rules and always put safety first.

8. Responsible serving of alcohol

Requirements to follow when working and serving alcohol:

  • No alcohol to be served to anyone under the age of 18
  • Anyone looking under the age of 21 needs to be asked for ID
  • Only passports and Driving Licences are accepted ID
  • All spirits are to be served in measures of 25ml quantities or 250ml for wine, unless instructed otherwise
  • Drinking of stock at work is classed as theft
  • Do not carry any money on your person whilst working
  • Follow the exact instructions of your appointed bar manager in all matters, expecially those that concern breaks, work stations, assigned tills and jobs handed to you.
  • Keep money and alcohol outside of customers reach - exercise common sense
  • Do not steal anything. You will be searched by security and handed over to the Police if any suspicion arises
  • All events are zero tolerance. Anyone found in possession of or under the influence of any illegal substance will be handed over to the Police
